As an associate attorney with a Japanese law firm based in Tokyo, Japan, Nozomu practiced in the areas of capital markets, banking, finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate matters. His experience includes issuances of hybrid securities under Basel III and TLAC (Total Loss-Absorbing Capacity) regulations; issuances and secondary offerings of bonds, shares, investment units and stock acquisition rights; and establishment of Medium Term Note Programmes, among other matters. In Japan, he also advised on domestic and international corporations, banks, financial institutions and J-REITs in connection with the Companies Act, the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, and other Japanese laws and regulations.
Nozomu earned his LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2018. He also earned his J.D. from Waseda Law School in Tokyo, Japan, in 2011 and his LL.B. from The University of Tokyo in 2008.
Nozomu is admitted to practice law in Japan and is a member of the Japan Federation of Bar Association. He is seeking admission in the state of New York.
