Erica L. Woebse is an associate in Barnes & Thornburg's Indianapolis office and a member of the firm's Healthcare Department. Erica provides organizational, contracting and strategic guidance to the firm's healthcare clients.
Erica counsels clients on compliance with federal and state healthcare laws and regulations. She serves as business counsel for healthcare entities, including for mergers, acquisitions, and stock transactions. She assists clients with HIPAA compliance, including by drafting HIPAA policies and procedures; training privacy and security officers; and guiding clients through HIPAA breaches.
Erica also counsels clients on compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, the requirements for participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs, and other state and federal laws and regulations.
She has presented on topical issues in healthcare law before the Health Care Compliance Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, the National Business Institute, the Indiana State Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
Erica is a Certified Information Privacy Professional in the laws of the United States for the private sector (CIPP/US) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional in U.S. government privacy laws (CIPP/G).
