A cross-section of about 30 women, including clients and Barnes & Thornburg lawyers, gathered for professional development, networking and charitable engagement during the second Indianapolis chapter meeting of Chiefs in Intellectual Property (ChIPs). During a CLE program on intellectual property issues in the fashion industry, Caitlin Byczko of the Indianapolis office presented on topics ranging from counterfeits and product endorsements to infringement suits filed against members of the Kardashian family. Following the CLE, the group moved on to networking at Saks Fifth Avenue. Those who attended were also encouraged to bring an item of clothing or accessory to donate to Dress for Success Indianapolis. Deborah Pollack-Milgate of the Indianapolis office, who helped establish the local ChIPs chapter earlier this year, assisted in organizing the event and attended. Sarah Harrell and Kathleen Fennessy of the Indianapolis office also attended. ChIPs aims to advance the careers of women at the intersection of technology, law and policy.
