Specifically, the Committee was tasked with the following: charge:

  2. Identify existing best practices to eliminate custody relinquishment as a means of gaining access to services for multi-system youths;
  3. Identify the best methods for person-centered care coordination related to behavioral health, developmental disabilities, juvenile justice, and employment;
  4. Build a system of accountability to monitor the progress of the multi-system youths in residential placement; and
  5. Recommend an equitable, adequate, sustainable funding and service delivery system to meet the needs of all multi-system youths.
After a series of hearings across the state, the Committee released their recommendations based on the feedback they received from stakeholders participating in the Committee process and you can read the report here: Committee on Multi System Youth Report June 2016
