Rob represents U.S. and foreign-domiciled companies in trial and before appellate courts throughout the country. He has served as national counsel to industrial, agricultural, real estate and transportation organizations. His responsibilities in those roles have included defending national class actions and cases with high-dollar verdict potential. State and city governments have retained Rob to resolve or defend complex claims involving massive potential compensation or controversial government policies.
Rob's trial and appellate results are found in a variety of reported cases. Rob's trial verdicts for claimant companies have been reported in the National Law Journal and by ALM's Top 100 Verdicts for 2013. More recently, Rob helped his NASDAQ-listed client prove its ownership of a key patent and related technologies in a trial against its consultant and related parties.
Rob uses his experience to pursue resolution in nearly every case. Resolution efforts can prove to be essential in most cases whether pursued prior to or after litigation is filed. Regardless, Rob's approach to resolution has proven successful time and again in negotiations with domestic and foreign businesses.
Rob is an invited speaker and educator throughout the country on trial practice. His work has been featured on NBC and CBS, and in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The London Times, USA Today, The Economist and the Dow Jones News Service. He also served as chairman of the firm's Litigation Department for seven years and was a co-founder of ThemeVision LLC, the firm’s trial consulting, opinion research and graphic design subsidiary providing analysis in litigation and policy matters across the U.S.
