Christopher Rubey counsels and defends employers in labor and employment matters, with a particular focus on OSHA defense and restrictive covenant disputes. He helps clients navigate workplace safety compliance, enforcement actions, and high-stakes employment challenges through counseling, agency proceedings, and litigation.

Christopher holds an OSHA 30 General Industry Department of Labor certification and regularly advises employers facing inspections and investigations from federal OSHA and state-plan occupational safety agencies. His practice includes contesting citations, defending whistleblower and retaliation claims, and negotiating reduced citation severity and penalties during informal conferences.

He also represents employers in disputes involving non-competes, non-solicitation agreements, and other restrictive covenants, as well as a broad range of employment claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, and defamation. Christopher helps clients assess risk, respond to sensitive personnel matters, and enforce the contractual protections critical to their workforce and competitive position.

Christopher represents clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies nationwide, including in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. He regularly prepares position statements in response to charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and comparable state and local agencies, and guides clients through mediations, fact-finding conferences, and other administrative proceedings. Beyond his employment and workplace safety practice, Christopher advises businesses on commercial disputes and legal risks arising in potential transactions.
