Detail-oriented and a determined problem-solver, Omar helps clients achieve their real estate development and investment objectives.
Before joining Barnes & Thornburg full-time, Omar was a summer associate and law clerk with the firm’s Columbus office working on real estate and corporate matters. He also gained valuable experience as a legal extern for a Fortune 500 athletic apparel and footwear corporation, where he helped draft athlete endorsement contracts and addendums.
Prior embarking on his legal career, Omar spent over a decade as a professional soccer player with various domestic and international soccer teams. His illustrious journey includes representing the United States National Team in international tournaments and achieving the honor of being the first overall draft pick in the 2011 Major League Soccer SuperDraft. Notably, while playing in Vancouver, British Columbia, he received the Humanitarian of the Year Award for his significant contributions to community initiatives.
