Daniel E. McCann serves as chief financial officer at Barnes and Thornburg, where he oversees and directs the firm's accounting and financial activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Dan most recently served as executive vice president and CFO at Greeley and Hansen LLC, a national civil and environmental engineering firm headquartered in Chicago. Before that, he served as CFO for 10 years at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal LLP (now SNR Denton), a large international law firm headquartered in Chicago.
Among his accomplishments over the past 15 years are his leadership of teams in developing and implementing business intelligence dash board reporting systems, his leading role in the integration of an acquired firm, and his establishment of key performance indicators, which align financial reporting with strategic plan initiatives.
Dan earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa in 1982. He received his MBA in finance from Drake University in 1993. Mr. Dan earned his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1982.
