Lawyers Of Color Names 16 Attorneys, Business Professionals To 2023 Wonderful Women List, Hot List and Diversity Issue

Sixteen Barnes & Thornburg attorneys and business professionals have been named to Lawyers of Color’s Wonderful Women List, Hot List and Diversity Issue in recognition of their professional achievements and commitment to advancing diversity.

The inaugural Wonderful Women List recognizes dynamic women attorneys, while the annual Hot List recognizes junior- and mid-level attorneys; both lists include attorneys who Lawyers of Color have recognized as showing promise in their careers and who demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession.

The publication’s inaugural Diversity Issue recognizes diversity professionals and firms that satisfy diversity criteria, and includes a directory of diversity professionals working within law firms.

The following firm attorneys were named to the Wonderful Women List:

The following firm attorneys were named to the Hot List:

  • Sarah Odion Esene, Atlanta
  • Nicholas Rivera, Minneapolis

The following attorneys and business professionals were named in the Diversity Issue:

In addition to the above individual recognitions, the firm received an Industry Leader Diversity Award for having at least one staff member with the word “equity,” “diversity,” or “inclusion” in their title; having at least one attorney of color who is a managing partner, executive or management committee member, or practice group head; and having at least four percent Black attorneys.

Lawyers of Color is a national nonprofit focused on promoting diversity in the legal field and advancing democracy and equality in marginalized communities. Lawyers of Color recognizes attorneys, business professionals and high-ranking in-house counsel for their achievements in the legal field, dedication to diversity and inclusion and significant career milestones. Honorees are selected through a review process by a committee comprised of Lawyers of Color fellows, advisors and editorial staff.
