New Attorneys Join Barnes & Thornburg’s Litigation Group

Barnes & Thornburg LLP has recently hired new attorneys in the Chicago, Columbus, Indianapolis and Los Angeles offices. They are working in various capacities to serve clients’ litigation needs. The new attorneys are:

Chicago

Yeny Estrada is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. With experience in a wide range of litigation matters, Estrada has represented and counseled businesses in complex litigation, commercial transactions, creditors’ rights and corporate governance matters. She has also represented banks and companies in real estate litigation, and represented various creditors in bankruptcy litigation.

In 2009, Estrada earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in 2006.

Columbus

Kyle Gerlach is a staff attorney in the Litigation Department. Gerlach focuses his practice on arbitration related to multistate tobacco litigation. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Gerlach served as a law clerk for The Cincinnati Insurance Company’s staff counsel’s office. In this role, he conducted research and drafted memoranda and dispositive motions on topics such as the consumer sales practices, product liability, landlord-tenant acts, general premises and contract liability, and the implications of tort reform matters.

After graduating from DePauw University with a bachelor’s degree in 2012, Gerlach went on to earn a J.D., cum laude, from Capital University Law School in 2015.

Indianapolis

Cari Sheehan is of counsel and a member of the Litigation Department. Sheehan serves as professional responsibility counsel to the firm and focuses on various legal ethics and professional responsibility matters. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, she worked in private practice on a wide variety of litigation matters, including Title IX litigation, employment discrimination, bullying and school litigation, complex torts, civil rights litigation, police misconduct, medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death claims and criminal issues.

Sheehan graduated cum laude from the University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in 2004 and earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2007.

Los Angeles

Jenya Moshkovich is of counsel in Barnes & Thornburg’s Litigation Department and the Drug and Medical Device and eDiscovery, Data and Document Management practice groups. She concentrates her practice on electronic discovery, drug and device litigation, and commercial litigation. She has led discovery efforts in multiple drug and device multidistrict litigations, consumer products putative class actions, trademark and patent litigation, international arbitration, and single-plaintiff products liability matters.

Moshkovich graduated with distinction and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley. She earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
