COLUMBUS – Julie Veldman Harris has joined Barnes & Thornburg’s Columbus office as a member of the firm’s healthcare department. She previously practiced in the firm’s Chicago office.
Ms. Veldman Harris advises clients on a variety of healthcare legal issues, including various federal and state regulatory matters, governance, mergers and acquisitions, physician employment matters, physician-hospital contracting, and healthcare antitrust.
“Julie brings both additional practice strengths and great energy to the Columbus office,” said Office Managing Partner Bill Nolan. “Her skill set and experience will be important to building the office’s healthcare practice, and she is a great fit with what we are doing here. She will also strengthen our ties with the 100 lawyers in our Chicago office.”
She earned her law degree cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School, her BSW with a minor in Spanish summa cum laude from Indiana University - Bloomington and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
