PROTEST-WHY YOU SHOULD!

Alice Martin of the Chicago office gave an invited presentation on May 18 to the Midwest Women’s Sailing Conference at the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center in Wisconsin. The topic was “PROTEST-WHY YOU SHOULD!” Protests are the processes by which the Racing Rules of Sailing are policed. For example, if a rule is broken by one boat against another, at a hearing a three-judge panel will decide whether penalties should be directed. There can also be arbitration.
