For all corporations, including non-profit organizations, whether a person is legally considered an independent contractor or an employee is a difficult question. Luckily, certain strategies make this legal question easier to answer.

Moderated by Associations & Foundations Chair Paula Goedert, and presented by Barbara Dunn O’Neal, this one-hour webinar will address those strategies, including:

  • The test & factors to help determine an individual’s status
  • Common mistakes to avoid
  • Steps you can take to reduce the risk if incorrect characterization occurs
  • Penalties of incorrect classification
  • Understanding of recent court case decisions and their effect
