Federation of State Physician Health Programs annual education conference

Stacy Cook of the Indianapolis office was a featured presenter on April 25 at the Federation of State Physician Health Programs (FSPHP) annual education conference held in Ft. Worth Texas. The FSPHP is a national trade association of programs that evaluate, refer and treat physicians for substance use disorders. Most Physician Health Programs are operated by state medical associations. Many substance use disorder treatment facilities from the US were also in attendance. Stacy’s presentation focused on the various laws that apply to the Programs and the confidentiality of substance use disorder records, such as HIPAA, peer review laws, and 42 CFR Part 2.
