Attorney Presentation - "Insurance Coverage for Punitive Damages in Minnesota"

On Feb. 17, Christopher Yetka of the Minneapolis office presented a webinar through Minnesota CLE on "Insurance Coverage for Punitive Damages in Minnesota." Christopher covered the chapter he wrote in the Minnesota Law Deskbook, providing an overview of the issues facing business policyholders when attempting to protect themselves when faced with liability beyond simple compensatory damages. In addition, on Feb. 20, he was a moderator for a panel in Phoenix at the mid-year meeting of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the ABA's Tort, Trial & Insurance Practice Section. The panel spoke on the topic of "Insurance Transfer in Asset Deals/Stock Deals" and discussed recent changes in national law affecting whether insurance protection will transfer when businesses are involved in mergers and acquisitions.
