Tackling Policies, Training, and Investigations
The headlines surrounding television news, sports networks, and Silicon Valley underscore the message that the standard anti-sex harassment training just doesn’t seem to work any longer. And, it makes us wonder whether our standard “training” was really ever that effective.
In this 90-minute webinar, we will offer a fresh approach to stemming the abuse of power in the workplace. We’ll talk about the changing landscape of the workplace and the law; how to balance healthy relationships with the current zeal for zero-tolerance policies; and recommendations for a broader approach to governing workplace conduct, including bullying.
Educational Objectives:
1. Review of the applicable laws that govern harassment, including federal laws and California state law and federal laws
2. Discussion of the EEOC Select Task Force on Harassment and its findings
3. Recommendations for workplace policies and training about misconduct, including bullying and harassment
4. Practical advice for investigations – from the short-and-sweet to the C-suite – and how to protect confidentiality
