Martín Montes moderated a panel, “State Utility Commission’s Role in Promoting Hispanic Business Contracting,” at the Hispanics In Energy 2023 Energy Legislative Summit at the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. Panelists included Commissioner Lea Márquez Peterson of the Arizona Corporate Commission, Commissioner Odogwu Obi Linton of the Maryland Public Service Commission and President Alice Reynolds of the California Public Utilities Commission. Other notable speakers and guests were Jennifer Granholm, U.S. Secretary of Energy; U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla of California; Joseph Dominguez, chairman of Hispanics in Energy and president and CEO of Constellation Energy; and various other federal elected legislators, state public utility commissioners, U.S. government administrative personnel from the Department of Energy, and energy and utility executives.
