Barnes & Thornburg Chicago Office Gives Back in Annual Investing in Justice Campaign

CHICAGO – Barnes & Thornburg is pleased to announce that the firm’s Chicago office raised more than $20,000 for the Chicago Bar Foundation’s 14th annual Investing in Justice Campaign, which supports more than 30 legal aid and pro bono organizations in the city to help ensure people in need have access to justice.

“The hardship placed on so many by COVID-19 added a real urgency to this year’s Investing in Justice Campaign,” said Michael Carrillo, Chicago office managing partner. “These funds mean that many more low-income and disadvantaged people can get the critical legal help they need this year. Giving back to the community is always a focus of ours and we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute in a much-needed time.”

This year’s generous donations came from the firm’s Chicago attorneys and legal professionals, achieving a historic participation rate from last year. Marlén Cortez Morris (Litigation) and Kailey Grant (Corporate), attorneys in the Chicago office, led this year’s Campaign for the firm.

Since its founding in 2007, the Investing in Justice Campaign has raised over $17.5 million for the city’s pro bono and legal aid system.

With more than 600 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the largest law firms in the country. The firm serves clients worldwide from offices in Atlanta, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, Ohio, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, Texas and Washington, D.C.
