OVERVIEW

David Frazee helps his clients craft a defense that tells their stories in an understandable, impactful and compelling way. He brings a tireless effort and an aptitude for understanding complex and complicated cases while advising clients on matters of white-collar crime, antitrust allegations, and compliance, as well as internal investigations.

When David is in the courtroom, there is no mistaking his innate skills. He leverages his ability to communicate clearly and concisely – taking even the most challenging issues of a case and whittling them down to the most critical and impactful concepts.

David’s cases involve high-stakes litigation, which often include analyzing, tracing and evaluating complex financial transactions, healthcare or scientific-related information and voluminous records. He has represented clients in a wide range of criminal, civil, compliance (including university-related matters), product liability, and other complex business litigations.

He has jury trial experience, has taken extensive depositions, worked on contested hearings, presented witnesses and experts, and been involved highly-contested criminal sentencings. David has also assisted drafting an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Beyond his day-to-day practice, David is also a member of the team assisting the Special Compliance Coordinator appointed by the U.S. Department of Commerce to monitor, assess and report on the U.S. export control compliance of Zhongxing Telecommunications Equipment Corporation and ZTE Kangxun Telecommunications Ltd.

David gained substantial legal experience, prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg full-time, as a summer associate with the firm; as a law clerk in the Monroe Circuit Court for the Hon. Mary Ellen Diekoff, Hon. Teresa Harper., Hon. Marc Kellams and Hon. Kenneth Todd.  Prior to attending law school, David worked for the Compliance Office in the Athletics Department at Baylor University.

David writes and speaks on complicated issues of law, predominately in the areas of criminal defense, compliance, trial, and litigation.
