They're Here -- New NLRB "Quickie" Election Rules Go Into Effect Today

After literally years of litigation and controversy, the NLRB's "quickie" election rules go into effect beginning today.  This is despite recent efforts from both Congress and employer groups in the courts to derail the rules once again. The Board's website has been updated to provide access to the new forms and procedures, and the Board is already publicizing the changes through social media, encouraging workers and unions to file petitions electronically. See our post last week for a complete summary of the rules and some compliance materials provided by NLRB Region 7.
