Renee Danega Joins Barnes & Thornburg’s Washington, D.C., Office

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Barnes & Thornburg announced today that Renee Danega has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property Department as an associate in the Washington, D.C., office.

Danega has experience with examining patent applications through allowance, appeal or abandonment. She focuses her practice on analyzing mechanical and electromechanical technologies with an emphasis on biomechanical devices for novelty, obviousness, and statutory patentability through extensive prior art searches and detailed correspondence.

Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Danega was a patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from Syracuse University, Danega earned her law degree from the George Washington University Law School.
