Visa

On Dec. 6, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) formally announced a significant change to the H-1B lottery process with a new registration requirement.

This change impacts timelines for the H-1B visa lottery and injects the uncertainty of an untested Department of Labor technology in this process. During this webinar, our immigration attorneys will provide an overview of these changes and advise employers on the following:

  • Strategies for successfully filing H-1B visa applications in an environment where denial rates are higher than ever
  • Timelines and documents required for the new process
  • Difficult occupational categories and salary levels used to deny petitions
  • Alternatives to H-1B sponsorship for individuals who are not selected in the lottery

With the newly announced timelines by USCIS, it is critical that employers seeking to sponsor any H-1B workers next year begin planning now.

1.0 hour CLE and HRCI credit pending. This program is valid for 1.0 PDCs for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®
