Barnes & Thornburg Welcomes New Attorneys

Barnes & Thornburg LLP has added new corporate and real estate attorneys to its Atlanta, Detroit Metro and Washington, D.C., offices.

As an of counsel in the Los Angeles office, Robert Calo’s dedication to being a resourceful lawyer is palpable. A skilled trial attorney and compliance lawyer, he offers clients a background drawing from more than 30 years of experience as an in-house compliance counsel, a federal prosecutor, and a white-collar criminal defense attorney.

Bob draws on his diverse experiences, taking a holistic approach when helping clients mitigate risk. He is often called upon to dive in and quickly assess allegations of misconduct – advising on the best course of action in response to the findings, which often includes negotiating with the government when a criminal prosecutor or regulatory official is involved or advocating for the client, business or other entity to face the least possible sanction, including numerous instances where he advocated to have charges dismissed or the government’s investigation shut down.

He earned his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law in 1985 and his B.S. in accounting/economics from Bryant University.

Jim Dudukovich, of counsel in the Atlanta office, is a seasoned advertising, marketing, and social media lawyer who provides proactive legal counsel and thought leadership on cutting-edge issues in the advertising industry. With over two decades of in-house experience, he offers a pragmatic approach, sound judgment, and an uncommon ability to identify issues and assess risks across functions to help clients achieve business objectives.

Jim is collaborative and flexible, a creative thinker, and a strong relationship builder who thinks like an in-house lawyer when working on marketing, digital, social media, product, and transactional matters for a variety of entities – from agile startups to global leaders.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1992 and his B.S. in systems and control engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1990.

As an approachable and dedicated associate in the Detroit Metro office, Toufic Saati, strives to make his clients feel at ease through his representation on their commercial, labor, and employment law needs.

Through his experience working with clients to overcome their legal challenges, Toufic has honed the necessary skills to help his clients achieve their objectives. He provides vigorous advocacy and client service in the areas of business and commercial litigation, immigration, and employment law across a wide range of industries.

He earned his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School in 2017 and his B.A. in cognitive neuroscience and philosophy from the University of Michigan in 2013.

With more than 600 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the largest law firms in the country. The firm serves clients worldwide from offices in Atlanta, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, Ohio, Texas and Washington, D.C.
