ELKHART – Barnes & Thornburg LLP announced today that it has relocated to new office space at 52700 Independence Court, Suite 150, in Elkhart, as the firm continues its long-time commitment to Elkhart. Firm attorneys and staff moved to the new space Nov. 18 and 19 from its location at 121 W. Franklin.
“We’re excited about moving into our new offices at our new location,” said J. Scott Troeger, managing partner of the Elkhart office. “For more than 75 years, Barnes & Thornburg has had roots in Elkhart, and we look forward to continuing our active, productive role in this community into the future.”
Troeger said he and his colleagues believe it is vitally important to be in proximity to the firm’s clients and operations, and the new office space and location will better serve staff and lawyers as they assist clients with the challenges and opportunities they face.
The attorneys and other legal professionals in the Elkhart office focus primarily on issues affecting businesses, business owners and management, including corporate law and taxation, labor and employment, litigation, finance, insolvency and restructuring, environmental, banking, financial and real estate transactions, municipal finance, government regulations, estate planning and probate.
In 1965, the Elkhart firm of Cawley & Harman merged with South Bend firm Oare, Thornburg, McGill & Deahl to become Thornburg, McGill, Deahl, Harman, Carey & Murray. That firm merged in 1982 with the Indianapolis firm of Barnes, Hickam, Pantzer & Boyd to become Barnes & Thornburg.
