Timothy A. Weaver is a partner in Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s South Bend and Elkhart, Indiana offices. He is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. Mr. Weaver’s practice includes assisting clients with acquisitions and dispositions of businesses, strategic planning, commercial contracts, and other general corporate matters. Mr. Weaver also provides legal advice to financial institutions regarding commercial and real estate transactions. In addition, he spends a substantial amount of time in estate planning and successor planning for corporations. Mr. Weaver also counsels clients regarding elder law issues.

Mr. Weaver received his B.A. in history from DePauw University in 1986, graduating magna cum laude. He received his J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law in 1990. While in law school, Mr. Weaver was a note and comment editor of the Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. Upon graduation from law school, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Kenneth F. Ripple of the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.

Mr. Weaver has been and continues to be active in the community, and currently serves on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Nappanee.

Mr. Weaver is admitted to practice in Indiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.
