Attorneys in Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s Minneapolis office have provided legal services to businesses and individuals in the Twin Cities and surrounding metro area for nearly 30 years. The office, formerly known as The Parsinen Law Firm P.A., was acquired by Barnes & Thornburg in 2009.
The Minneapolis office cultivates a creative and proactive client-centered environment. With more than 30 attorneys admitted to practice in state and federal courts throughout the United States, it is well-equipped to assist clients with legal matters that extend beyond the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Local and regional clients appreciate that their matters are given the attention and response that a small office affords, while provided with the added resources of one of the largest law firms in the United States.

Through our Minneapolis office, the firm counsels clients in a wide spectrum of legal practice areas, including corporate litigation; commercial real estate; corporate law; ESOPs/employee and executive benefits; employment law; finance, insolvency and restructuring; intellectual property; and private wealth services, among others. The office serves clients in a broad range of industries, including medical device, manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, retail and distribution.
A member of Twin Cities Diversity in Practice, the office has drawn both attention and recognition to the firm. Most recently, the Minneapolis office received the 2012 Leadership Award from Minnesota Women Lawyers, an honor that recognizes legal employers throughout the state who design and implement projects, initiatives, policies and plans with the specific intent of securing the full and equal participation of women in the legal profession.
The Minneapolis office is also a proud honoree of the 2012 Best Places to Work in Minneapolis in the “Small Companies” category, presented by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The honor conforms to the high regard our employees have for their workplace, as companies were selected by surveying their own employees on topics such as their work environment, people practices, and how things work day-to-day. The companies with the highest marks from their employees earned a spot on this elite listing.
The office is located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, one of the leading business and financial centers of the Midwest, near such local landmarks as the Nicollet Mall, the IDS Center and the Minneapolis City Center. Visitors to the Minneapolis office also have convenient access to the city’s Hiawatha Line light rail system.
