Mr. Snapper represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law for a broad client base. He has extensive experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreements on behalf of employers and has successfully negotiated contracts in recent years with the following unions and in the following industries: UAW, Steelworkers, Teamsters, UFCW, UNITE HERE, and Machinists; steel; distribution and transportation; food retail; manufacturing, including auto supply, building products and office furniture; professional services; and health services.
Mr. Snapper’s practice also includes union arbitrations; unfair labor practice charge defense; workforce reorganizations and reductions; and strikes and labor disputes. Mr. Snapper also has extensive experience in counseling businesses in the labor and employment law aspects of mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and plant closings. His work has included analysis of union successorship; union and “union-free” options; separation, consolidation, and relocation of bargaining units; and renegotiation of labor contracts in the contexts of mergers and acquisitions of various forms. Mr. Snapper has extensive experience in representing employers in connection with union organizing, and devotes a significant part of his practice to supervisor and manager training, and organizational planning and assessment.
