Meredith A. Rieger is of counsel in the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and concentrates her practice in the area of white collar criminal defense. Ms. Rieger represents clients in complex and high profile government investigations and has assisted in the defense of corporations, executives, and public officials accused of wrongdoing.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Ms. Rieger was a litigation associate in the White Collar Defense practice group in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP. In addition to her prior work as a white collar litigation associate, Ms. Rieger has experience as an assistant district attorney in Quincy District Court in Quincy, Massachusetts as a member of Boston University School of Law’s Criminal Clinical Program.
Ms. Rieger earned her B.A. in international politics from The Pennsylvania State University in 2002 and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 2006 where she was note editor of The American Journal of Law & Medicine.
Ms. Rieger is admitted to practice in both the Pennsylvania and Indiana courts, and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Southern District of Indiana. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association.
