Attorney John R. Maley was among three alumni honored for their continuous support and service to Indiana University and its Indianapolis campus during the IU Alumni Association’s annual Alumni Leadership Awards dinner, Thursday Feb. 27.
Maley, along with Eugene R. Tempel and Dr. Patricia A. Keener, received the Maynard K. Hine medal, during a volunteer recognition dinner and reception. The medal is named in honor of the late Hine, who was the first chancellor of IUPUI and a former dean of the IU School of Dentistry. The Hine medal is the highest service award bestowed at the Indianapolis campus.
Maley, who graduated summa cum laude from the IU School of Law-Indianapolis in 1988 and received a Master of Business Administration degree from the IU Kelley School of Business in 1994, has given back to his alma mater as president of the law school alumni board, as an adjunct professor, and as a fundraiser.
