Joel R. Meyer is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. A member of the firm’s Litigation Department, Mr. Meyer focuses his practice on general and commercial litigation matters.
Mr. Meyer earned his B.A. in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2000, and his M.A. in political science from California State University, Fullerton in 2003. Mr. Meyer attended law school at Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, where he earned his J.D. magna cum laude in 2006. While in law school, Mr. Meyer served as managing editor of the Indiana Law Journal and was selected for membership in the Order of the Coif.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Mr. Meyer was an associate in the Los Angeles office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. He is a member of the California Bar and admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California.
