Hamish Cohen is a partner in Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s Indianapolis, Indiana office. He is a member of the Litigation Department and the Antitrust Practice Group. His practice focuses on antitrust, securities litigation, class actions and other large, complex commercial litigation.

Mr. Cohen's practice has included representing and advising Fortune 100 companies, sporting organizations, individuals and local, regional and national business entities in large commercial disputes involving antitrust, securities, contract and other issues. He has experience handling a wide variety of disputes from pre-litigation negotiation, through trial and the appeal process from both the plaintiff and defense perspective. Mr. Cohen also has experience with copyright, right of publicity and John Doe trademark matters in sports and entertainment related fields.

Mr. Cohen provides business and legal advice in numerous settings - such as providing antitrust seminars to clients and reviewing draft contracts or other business documents - so as to identify and address potential issues long before they can give rise to costly disputes or legal difficulties.

Mr. Cohen is active in his community and as a member of the Indiana University Sherman Minton Moot Court Board Advisory Committee. He routinely handles pro bono matters in a wide range of fields, including housing, tort and family law areas, and he has prior experience while working for Indiana University and as a prior board member of the St. Joseph School for the Deaf, Indianapolis, in adaptive education and related issues.

Mr. Cohen received his B.A. in English Literature from Indiana University, which he attended on an honor's division academic scholarship. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington, where he served as an editor on the Journal of Global Legal Studies and as the Executive Competition Coordinator for the Sherman Minton Moot Court. He was a member of the Order of the Coif.

Mr. Cohen is admitted to practice in Indiana, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the 3rd and 7th Circuits Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is an active member of the Indiana and American Bar Associations.
