Jody H. Odell
Brian L. Burdick practices in the areas of government services and public finance. He serves as special counsel to commercial and investment banks, advising them on Indiana public-fund banking and investment issues. A registered lobbyist, he also represents public and private clients before the Indiana General Assembly. Burdick graduated summa cum laude from Wabash College and cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis.
Mark J. Dinsmore practices in general litigation in state and federal district courts. Dinsmore has also practiced before an international arbitration tribunal to resolve a matter arising from the civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Before attending law school Dinsmore served as a captain in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Wabash College and was a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law.
Bradley J. Dougherty practices in trusts and estates, probate, business law, estate planning and administration. He provides services for the formation and operation of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies and representation of these entities as corporate/legal counsel. He graduated from Indiana University School of Business and Indiana University School of Law.
Jody H. Odell practices in labor and employment law and appellate practice in the South Bend office. She advises clients on employment discrimination matters and represents them at all stages of the litigation process. Odell serves on the American Bar Association’s AIDS Coordinating Committee. She graduated magna cum laude from Wheaton College and served as lead articles editor for the Notre Dame Law Review before graduating magna cum laude from the Notre Dame Law School.
William E. Padgett is a member of the Litigation Department. His practice includes the defense of complex toxic tort, commercial dispute and products liability lawsuits brought against product manufacturers. He also represents corporations and individuals pursuing property and casualty insurance coverage claims, particularly in the environmental and toxic tort areas. He graduated magna cum laudefrom Wabash College and cum laude from Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington where he was articles editor for the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies.
Thomas F. Shea represents clients in general civil litigation, commercial litigation, product liability, premises liability and health care litigation matters in state and federal courts. He graduated from Purdue University and received his doctor of jurisprudence degree cum laude from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis.
Todd G. Vare is a member of the Intellectual Property Department where he concentrates on the litigation of patent disputes. He also counsels clients regarding intellectual property protection and has litigated matters involving software performance and licenses, trade secrets, employee non-compete and non-disclosure agreements and rights of publicity. He graduated from Miami University, earned an MBA from Indiana University and received his doctor of jurisprudence degree summa cum laude from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis.
