Barnes & Thornburg LLP announced today that it has added Andrew B. Coogle as an attorney in its Columbus, Ohio office. He is a member of the firm’s Governmental Services & Finance Department.
Most recently an in-house lawyer for The Scotts Company LLC, Coogle’s experience includes legal compliance program development and management; legal and business strategy integration; agreement negotiation, drafting and enforcement; day-to-day legal counseling; regulatory compliance; recall management; and the delivery of presentations and training.
“Andy’s deep, in-house experience will be valuable to our clients,” said William A. Nolan, managing partner of the firm’s Columbus office. “His addition continues the expansion of our Ohio-based capabilities.”
Coogle most recently served as vice president-legal for The Scotts Company LLC, where he worked in a number of positions for over 10 years. Prior to that, he was an associate at Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff, and a senior associate for Coopers & Lybrand.
“Andy’s extensive corporate and business experience will enhance our government services, infrastructure and financing practices in Columbus,” said David Paragas, who leads the firm’s Governmental Services and Finance Department in Ohio.
He earned his law degree from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1996 and his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 1988.
Coogle is admitted to practice in the state of Ohio.
