Governmental Finance - Underwriters
Barnes & Thornburg has served as underwriters’ counsel to local, regional and national investment banks in a variety of bond financings. Underwriters have disclosure responsibilities to investors under federal and state securities laws. Underwriters’ counsel may be engaged by the underwriters to: - Advise the underwriters about the financing;
- Advocate the underwriters’ interests in the financing; and
- Render an objective legal opinion regarding the issuer’s official statement or other disclosure document.
