A national guide of the country's top attorneys has listed 115 attorneys from Barnes & Thornburg LLP. The Best Lawyers in America® 2010 (Copyright 2009 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, S.C.) recognized attorneys from eight of the firm's 10 offices in 166 listings, which was an increase from 134 listings last year.
The firm ranked No. 1 in several specialty areas, including antitrust, banking, bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights, commercial litigation, corporate governance and compliance, elder law, employee benefits, energy law, first amendment law, government relations, immigration, information technology, insurance, intellectual property, labor and employment, municipal law, private funds law, product liability litigation, public finance law, real estate law, securities law, tax law, trusts and estates, water law, white-collar criminal defense, and workers’ compensation law.
Barnes & Thornburg had a total of 91 attorneys listed from the firm's four Indiana offices, while 12 attorneys from the firm’s Chicago office, 10 attorneys from the firm's Grand Rapids, Mich. office, and 1 attorney from each of the Columbus, Ohio and Minneapolis, Minn. offices were also listed.
