Laura Luisi is an associate in the Chicago office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where she is a member of the Labor and Employment Law and Litigation departments. Ms. Luisi assists clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, unfair competition and construction litigation. Ms. Luisi also assists clients with internal and government investigations in the white collar and labor and employment contexts.

Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg full-time in 2015, Ms. Luisi served as a summer associate in the areas of litigation, healthcare and labor and employment. In addition to her time with Barnes & Thornburg, she gained valuable experience as a judicial clerk extern for Judge Peggy Chiampas of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Ms. Luisi earned her J.D., cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School; M.B.A., cum laude, from Dominican University; and B.S., cum laude, in architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. While in law school, Ms. Luisi served as a legal writing teaching assistant and a research assistant to various members of the faculty. Ms. Luisi was a member of the Moot Court Honors Society; member of Phi Delta Phi Honors Society; student advisory board member of the Office of Professionalism and Career Strategy; and social chair of the Italian-American Justinian Society of Lawyers Student Chapter. She also served as student publications editor of The John Marshall Law Review and authored "A New Devil in the White City: The Demolition of Prentice Women’s Hospital and The Failures of Chicago’s Landmarks Ordinance," 48 J. Marshall L. Rev. 391 (2014).

In addition to being admitted to practice in the state of Illinois, Ms. Luisi is admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of Illinois and the USDC Southern District of Indiana.
