Julia Spoor Gard is a partner in the Indianapolis office and chair of the Intellectual Property Department. Her practice consists of searching and clearing trademarks, prosecuting domestic and international trademark applications, intellectual property licensing, and litigation before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Ms. Gard has authored several articles on trademarks and trademark law in technology and intellectual property newsletters and magazines. She has lectured at seminars on intellectual property, e-commerce, and internet law for the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum (ICLEF), the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns, among others.

Ms. Gard is ranked as one of Trademark Insider's top 50 trademark attorneys in late 2007 for the number of trademark applications filed and is recognized on the Indiana Super Lawyers list.

Ms. Gard received her J.D. from Valparaiso University Law School and her undergraduate degree from Ball State University.

Ms. Gard is admitted to practice before Indiana state and federal courts, the Illinois state court, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the Trademark Law & Practice Standing Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association.
